I’m always listening to music while I’m in my studio. Music that seems to me to come from the Earth and have its underlying themes be in tune with nature. Somehow the music frees up the brain to allow you to go into that mode where the inspiration, creativity, or just plain process is allowed to flow freely. Well, that’s the theory anyway. At the moment I’m listening to a bit of bluesy winter chill cosy music like Norah Jones “Begin Again” or “Flipside”, Paul Carrack “Bet Your Life”, Elton John “Madman Across the Water” and some U2 from their “Songs of Experience” album, amongst others in my playlist. What do you listen to while you work?

Here are 2 more of my framed works that will be on show at the next Otago Art Society exhibition running from 20th May to 11th June. “Serenity” from the Sunshine and Earth Magic” series (frame size 470mm x 590mm) and “Thru the Looking Glass” (frame size 445mm x 620mm).

Both available for purchase, and if those sizes don’t suit, just let me know what does. I can get any size printed and framed to suit your place. Please, check out my website www.jbphotoart.co.nz for more of the “Sunshine and Earth Magic” series and other works in my portfolio.
