Autumn's Rainbows - Paintings
I think of myself as a photographer who likes to pick up the paint brush occasionally. The urge to dabble in paint takes over the call of the camera for a time.
And this usually happens around Autumn, just as the leaves begin to give us a wonderful display of reds, oranges, and yellows. A visual delight for everyone.
Contemporary Work - May 2022
Capturing that beautiful Indigo blue that you get in the sky with the last of the light, and the silvery moon on a clear still night.
And I’m happy to say that the middle canvas has already sold, with another one that I haven’t quite finished already sold as well.
Each canvas is created with acrylics and actual leaves from the trees in our garden. These 3 canvases below are sized 6" x 8". Other sizes will be coming soon.
Previous Work
Every autumn all the trees around our house lose their leaves in the most beautiful display of colour and light, and every leaf becomes an artwork of its own.
The leaves dance and swirl in the wind on their journey to the earth. They become a carpet of colour and toys for our cats to indulge in.
It’s my favourite season and I wanted to give these wee souls of the trees a new life in these paintings.
Small mementos created with acrylics and actual leaves from the wonderful trees in our garden.
